Young Nuclear Professionals is organizing a new edition of its Basic Course on Nuclear Science and Technology in Cáceres, coinciding with the Annual Meeting of the Spanish Nuclear Society. This course is designed to offer an accessible yet rigorous introduction to the fundamental principles of nuclear energy and its role in today’s society.
Throughout the course, topics will range from basic concepts of nuclear physics, the operation and safety of nuclear power plants, to radioactive waste management, future technologies, non-energy applications, and their contribution to sustainable development.
The course aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the nuclear sector, address common questions, debunk myths, and explore both the scientific-technological aspects and the social relevance and utility of nuclear science in other areas.
