At the opening lecture of the 51st Annual Meeting, we will journey to the heart of Extremadura, guided by the renowned writer Jes\u00fas S\u00e1nchez Adalid.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Alc\u00e1ntara Recipe Book\u201d<\/strong> takes us back to the autumn of 1807, on the eve of the Peninsular War. The setting is the Monastery of San Benito de Alc\u00e1ntara, the main seat of the ancient Order of Knighthood, where a unique cultural treasure was kept: the Culinary Recipe Book of the Order of Alc\u00e1ntara \u2014 a manuscript that preserved centuries of culinary tradition and had graced the banquets and celebrations of the Order with its splendor.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, on such a special occasion for the Spanish Nuclear Society as we celebrate its 50th Anniversary, we believe that looking back at how our congress has evolved, reviewing the events that have shaped the course of the Spanish nuclear sector, is the best way to kick off the 50th Annual Meeting. Our speaker for this occasion will be Miguel Barreiro Bugallo, who will walk us through these “50 Years of Annual Meetings” and share the journey we have traveled together over these five decades. And, as there is always room for surprises, this Inaugural Conference will have its own as well.<\/p>\n

These have been 50 uninterrupted years of organizing an event that has evolved alongside the sector, has traveled across the national landscape, and has been made possible through the efforts of hundreds of professionals on its committees. Thanks to the support of companies within the sector, despite the ups and downs, this event has always received unwavering backing.<\/p>\n
